Blogging with Stampsntea

September 29, 2021

Hello Everyone! Here we are at the last week in September. Fall certainly came in with a lot of rain for 2 or 3 days but now we're back to some fairly decent daytime weather.  In fact it's a beautiful day today. We took our 3year old granddaughter out on the old rail trail with her 'big-girl bicycle' that she received for her birthday and we couldn't keep up with her. 😉 She has the right idea because she's having a nap now.

This weeks card is another quick and simple technique called Split Circles. The link to the YouTube video and the photos are below. My DSP for these cards is retired but any nice Fall paper will do.

On Saturday of this week - October 2nd - it's World Card Making Day. I have 7 ladies coming at different times to make a quick card each. I've allotted them each 20 minutes to make the card and then 10 minutes for me to sanitize everything ready for the next person. Hopefully the weather stays nice and we'll be doing some Front Porch cardmaking. I should have some photos to post in next week's blog.

As always, have a wonderful week and make some time for crafting.

Blogging with Stampsntea

September 22, 2021

Hello Everyone. Fall has officially arrived and we're going to have several days of heavy rain. That makes it a good week for crafting.  So far this week I've been preparing for World Card Making Day. I sent out invitations to all of my customers asking them to join me in person on Saturday, October 2nd to make a card, so we'll see how that pans out.

This is the link to this weeks video.  https://youtu.be/QAUr-A762V4  and the photos of the cards are posted below.

I had such fun making these cards, they were quick, simple, used very few supplies and they also fit into a regular size envelope. It's almost the end of another Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration so if there's anything you need get your order in and remember to pick a free item if you spend over $60. I've also had some fun putting together the pumpkins from this months 'Harvest Haunts' Paper Pumpkin kit. PP kits are a great way to get into stamping and not be overwhelmed by needing lots of supplies. Stampin' Up! also have other kits available for purchase on-line and they contain everything you need to complete the project in the box - even a stamp block. If you think this is something you might like to try, go to my on-line store at https://stampsntea.stampinup.net and check out the kits available. Let me know if you need any help.
As always, have a fabulous week and craft something.

Blogging with Stampsntea

September 15, 2021

Well another week has gone by and we're definitely getting into some fall nights - which is great for sleeping. Warm days + cool nights = perfect weather for me. I didn't have a Zoom meeting with my cardmaking group on Sunday because everyone was busy seeing Family, hearing about the first week back at school from the Grandkids etc. myself included. It's great (I think) to hear that the kids are all back into a regular routine, actually going to school, seeing old friends and making some new friends too. I take my hat off to all the Parents who were thrown into home schooling their kids because of the pandemic. I'm thankful that I have my craft room and can make cards and craft all day. It's certainly helped me to get through not being able to see my Family and Friends in person as often as I would have liked. Hopefully we card makers are getting back on track to having in-person gatherings again soon. I'm hopeful that we can get together somehow on Saturday October 2nd to make a card or two as it's National Card making Day. Maybe the weather will co-operate and I can have something set up on the front porch. I did another video this week, just click on the link if you'd like to watch it.   https://youtu.be/-lEyBGfs6Hg  and here's a photo of the finished product.

They were fun cards to make and I think I've included all the measurements etc. in the video. Also, this week there is a link to my direct shop on Stampin' Up! website over at the right hand side. Another little bit of progress YAY! That's all for this week. Thanks for reading my Blog and hopefully I'll be back next week.

Blogging with Stampsntea

September 8, 2021

Hello everyone! Here I am trying to keep my promise of posting once a week.  It's been a beautiful week here, nice warm weather and only raining overnight. We've just celebrated Labor Day, now it's time for the kids to go back to school and I'm going to miss them. While we're not in lockdown or anything, we're still staying close to home and away from the cities unless it's absolutely necessary to go there for a medical appointment etc. The veggie gardens are almost finished except for a few fall plants and the canning is all done for another year. I'm spending more and more time in my craft room and still making cards and projects to give away. On that note, here's a link to my latest YouTube video   https://youtu.be/FXZqpn5Ewvo. If the link doesn't work properly, just copy and paste into your browser. The photos are the cards that were made for/during, the video.

I'm still learning about Blogging, and I thought I had the link to the video and photos figured out, but there's always next week. 😉
Have a wonderful week everyone and I hope to be back soon.

Blogging with Stampsntea

September 1, 2021

Hello everyone. Sadly it's been almost a year since my last post and for that I apologize. What I can't apologize for is that the summer of 2021 is almost over and I don't know where the time has gone. I've just attended a 3 day business/leadership workshop and I'm hoping to be more organized and consistent with my blogging. In my last post I said I hoped that the Covid-19 lockdown and self-quarantining would soon come to an end and that just didn't happen. Things are slowly starting to get back to normal and we're allowed a larger 'bubble' of people to be together but I think everyone is still being very cautious about allowing groups of people into their homes, and in-person gatherings are still quite small. So unfortunately still no in-person craft shows or classes for us, but I am getting better at Face Book Live, Zoom Meetings and YouTube videos. I still make cards almost every day and have another 200 or so ready to go to the local nursing homes. I'll continue to work away in my craft room and post cards as often as I can on my FB group - StampsnTea with Anne Wallace which you may request to join, and follow along with us. Here's the link to this weeks video.  https://youtu.be/XLyrJWLojKI  If the link to the video doesn't work, copy and paste into your web browser. Have fun crafting my friends and I'll talk to you all soon. I'm off to learn more about blogging today so we might see some improvements here soon.
