Blogging with Stampsntea

October 29, 2020

It's been a busy few days since my last blog. As you may know I'm an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and I hold card making classes for my team and my clients. Back in March of 2020 we entered into 'Social Distancing' due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This meant I could no longer hold my in-person card making classes. So to keep my team and clients interested and engaged I challenged them all to make a card every day. It could be a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) of the card I made and posted on our Face Book group site or a card of their own design. Whilst I have made and posted a card everyday, I feel we've only had minimal success as a group doing this. It has kept everyone in touch and we've added some new members along the way too, so in that respect it's been a success. It's now the end of October and there is no end of this pandemic in site. So what to do with the over 250 cards I have created? I've offered them to a long-term care facility in our town. They can't take the cards at present due to their facility being locked-down and having no outside visitors but they'd love to have them eventually. I hope there is at least a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel and somewhere in the near future I'll be able to get these boxes and boxes of cards that I've created off the side table in my living room and over to the long term care home where they might be shared and enjoyed by the residents.

Blogging with Stampsntea

October 23, 2020

Good afternoon Everyone. Welcome to the very first (of many, I hope) blog. A little info about myself - I live in South-Western Ontario with my husband and we're both retired now. Our family consists of two daughters, two sons-in-law and four fabulous grandchildren.

I'm an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and can help you create beautiful cards, home decor pieces and more.

I usually hold card-making classes on the first Tuesday of every month, but this is 2020, the year of Covid.  Because of social-distancing, all in-person card-making classes are on hold for now. Hopefully we'll get back to normal soon and you'll be more than welcome to join our group should you wish to do so. Just leave a note in the comments section and I can send you all the information. Below, I've posted a sample of something we might make in a class.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and feel free to leave a comment.
