Blogging with StampsnTea

December 17, 2022

Well here we are in a cold and snowy Ontario. We survived the latest winter storm and digging out the driveway. I'm so thankful I have my Stampin' Up! business to keep me busy. I just love all the new products in the January - June Mini Catalogue and then of course there's Sale-A-Bration until February 28th. It's such a good deal - purchase a mixture of products totaling $60 from any current catalogue and you can select a free product from the 'SAB' catalogue. And it gets even better than that - for every multiple of $60 you spend, you get to choose more free items.
Well, seeing as it's the middle of January I thought I'd better come up with a couple of Valentine cards so that's what I made for my video this week. The link and a photo are below.

Valentine cards to show how to use the old with the new, and a new technique. If you watch the video, please leave a like or a comment.

As always, have a wonderful week and make some time for crafting.

Blogging with StampsnTea

January 12, 2022

It's a cold & snowy week here in Ontario and that means it's a good week for crafting. Made a few new cards this week and getting my stamps, dies and embossing folders all labelled and catalogued. It feels good when I'm organized. I use a simple system of coloured dots to label everything as follows: Blue=Current, Green=Christmas, Yellow=Sale-A-Bration, Red=Not Current. It's very handy when I need to know if an item is in a current catalogue or not. I also keep an Excel spreadsheet with a list of everything I have and that's good to check when I'm ordering so I don't order duplicate items.

As I said, I've made a few cards this week and the video link is posted below along with the photo of two of them. Feel free to copy and share if you wish.

Happy New Year! Well it started out great on January 1st but by January 3rd we were back to on-line schooling for the kids and restaurants etc. were back to 50% capacity. When will this Covid-19 Pandemic end?

Okay, that's enough griping from me. I certainly have much to be thankful for - a wonderful family, good health, good friends and my Stampin' Up! family. All of which keep me busy and stop me from going insane. 😀 Speaking of Stampin' Up!, Its time for the new January - June 2022 mini catalogue and the January - February 2022 Sale-A-Bration catalogue to go live. They both have some awesome stamps and dies in them. I've pinned the links to both new catalogues over at the right hand side of my blog beneath the link for the Annual Catalogue.

For my video this week I've used new products from both of the new catalogues. I've posted the link and the picture below.

This weeks video creates a useful item to keep by the phone. An Easel Calendar with a Post-It note pad. Used DSP from the Sunshine & Rainbows set, the Daffodil Afternoon set, both of which are Sale-A-Bration free items and the Blessings of Home DSP which is in the Jan- June Catalogue.

December 29, 2021

Hello everyone: this will be the last post for 2021. It's been a wild ride this past year and I can only personally hope that 2022 is a much calmer and healthier year. We had a lovely Christmas with part of the family and for that I'm very grateful. We had planned to have another 'Christmas Day' on New Years Day and have the whole family together to open presents and have dinner together but, the best laid plans of mice and men.... Our Liam has tested positive for Covid (he's been double vaxxed so hopefully it will be a very mild case) and so that branch of the family are in quarantine for at least the next 10 days. We'll get to spend Christmas together again eventually. It won't be the first time we've had Christmas in July. I've had lots of time for playing with new stamps etc. this week and have created a lovely card. The link to the video and pic are posted below.

Wishing everyone Good Health, Wealth & Happiness for 2022.

December 22, 2021

Hello Everyone: Well here we are in the week leading up to Christmas and it's a busy one! The presents are wrapped, the baking is done, the groceries are in. I feel grounded again because if there's anything I've forgotten now, it really can't be all that important and it wouldn't be the first time I've found presents in the closet after Christmas. LOL. I did manage to find time to make my video for this week, it's short, sweet and to the point. You'll find the link  and the photo below.

I'd like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I hope 2022 is a much better year than 2021.  Love you all.

Blogging with StampsnTea

December 15, 2021

Hello everyone! Another week has gone by and we have no snow left. Hugely high winds this past weekend with lots of hydro outages and trees down everywhere around the county. Thankfully we had no trees down. Been a busy week for card making, Had one person come and make 10 Christmas Cards and 17 Notebook covers and that made for a full day of prep and a full day of putting together. Then I finally had my last card making workshop of the year on Monday night. I was planning to have a few quiet days before Christmas but Covid struck Evie's school so their Christmas break started early and we're having the girls for a couple of days. Good job I have lots of craft supplies on hand to keep them busy 😏

Here is the YouTube link to this weeks video and the photo below.

Blogging with StampsnTea

December 1, 2021

Hello Everyone! I just noticed that last weeks Blog didn't post - don't know where it's gone and I apologize. We've had our first decent snowfall here - just a nice amount every day for about 3 days running and it makes everything look clean and pretty. Now it's supposed to turn to rain. Piece of useless information coming up - it's rained on a Thursday for the last four weeks. How do I remember that? Well we have our granddaughter Cora for the day on Thursday's and she loves to ride her bike or scooter on the trail that we go walking on. She hasn't been able to ride for the last 4 weeks and it's supposed to rain again this Thursday. Some day's it's easier than than others to keep a three year old busy/amused for the whole day and sometimes it's her keeping us amused. She's such a cute and funny little human that you can't help but love her. She'll tell you her Papa is her best friend because he gives her everything she asks for. She's dying to get into my craft room and do some stamping but I'm just not quite ready for that yet so I bring out a couple of animal stamp sets and an old ink pad and and she's in heaven for a hour or so then on to the next great adventure. Speaking of stamping, I've made a video of another beautiful card. YouTube link is below and the pic follows.
